The biggest roots music festival in New England with blues, New Orleans R&B, Cajun, Zydeco, Swing etc. - this year featuring Robert Randolph & the Family Band, The Texas Tornados, Dave Alvin & the Guilty Women, Geoff Muldaur & the Texas Sheiks, CJ Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Little Freddie King, Marcia Ball, Donna the Buffalo, Johnny Nicholas & the Texas All-Stars, Magnolia, Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys, Occidental Gypsy Jazz Quartet, Horace Trahan & the New Ossun Express, Red Stick Ramblers, Planet Zydeco & more. Features two huge dance floors, 4 music stages, dance lessons, wide array of food vendors (from Cajun & Creole cuisine to barbecue, Greek, and Middle Eastern foods, vegetarian dishes and fresh native seafood along with beer, wine, and an assortment of other beverages plus an array of New Orleans style pastries, desserts, and fresh ground coffees including espresso and cappuccino). Family Tent with musicians and storytellers, and other kids activities all day long including a Mardi Gras style parade. The Dance Pavilion features daytime dance instruction in Cajun & zydeco plus evening dances. There are also Intimate workshops with performers which include Q&A segments and musical demonstrations plus the Kids Cajun Academy with instrument instruction in fiddle, guitar and accordion (advance signup required).
