Dr. Donna Perry is a nurse scientist at Massachusetts General Hospital where she manages the International Nurse Consultant Program and also serves as Associate Director of the Thomas S. Durant Fellowship for Refugee Medicine. Her program of research focuses on human decision-making around contemporary issues of social transformation related to peace, social justice and human rights. She is particularly interested in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the emerging field of peace through health and initiated a joint Israeli-Palestinian nurse education initiative at MGH. Perry recently completed a qualitative study with members of Combatants for Peace to learn how members of the group made the decision to commit to non-violent action for a just peace.
