| Description: | The Studio Art Honors Thesis class of 2010 invites you to view an exhibition of their evolving work. Twelve Clark students pursuing individual theses have joined together to curate this show. With Twelve Steps Forward, the artists emerge as a new generation of creators. Each challenges traditional artistic education and strives to expand the boundaries of their media. Actively employing the knowledge gained through their studio art experience, the students reconsider formal methods and techniques to produce a dynamic body of innovative work. Concepts deal with both complexities and subtleties, definitions and the indefinable, memory and interpretation. The artists use a broad range of materials, from paper to wood to the surfaces of eggs in presenting their visions for the future of art. Twelve Steps Forward will be on display between Thursday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 31 with a closing reception open to the public on Friday, March 26 from 7.30-9.30pm. Refreshments will be provided. |
