| Description: | Celebrate Women's History with this mini-exhibit of extraordinary and historical photographs and prints from the Picturing America Gallery. The exhibit features Mary Cassett's 'The Boating Party', Jacob Lawrence's 'The Migration of the Negro ; Panel no. 57' and Dorothe Lange's 'Migrant Mother'. "...Picturing America, an exciting new initiative from the National Endowment for the Humanities, brings masterpieces of American art into classrooms and libraries nationwide. Through this innovative program, students and citizens will gain a deeper appreciation of our country's history and character through the study and understanding of its art." |
