| Description: | FIFTH ANNIVERSARY FOR WORCESTER COUNTYS POPULAR YARN STORE The Sheep Shack celebrating 5 years at 787 Main Street in Holden Month Long Events Mark the Milestone! (Holden MA) Thanks to the loyal support of avid knitters, locally-owned retail business The Sheep Shack marks its fifth anniversary at 787 Main Street with a month-long celebration. Woman owned and operated, this bustling yarn store has served thousands of New England needle arts enthusiasts from its base in downtown Holden MA. The public is invited to stop in and enjoy the celebration, seven days a week. We are so grateful that our community continues to support locally-owned small businesses like our Sheep Shack, confirmed proprietor Christina Lentz Larsen of Holden MA. Suddenly, our fifth anniversary is upon us, and we want to celebrate in a big way through a public thank you to our loyal fans, all month long. The activities we have planned with help beginners as well as the experienced knitter, and include projects that underscore our commitment to community service. We look forward to seeing old friends and new ones who need to chase away the chill with a visit to a friendly and fun yarn shop. Knitters and others will want to note that for every purchase made during the month of February (one purchase per day per customer), they participate in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. The Sheep Shack will give away six such gift certificates, one each day, from February 22-27, with a final drawing for a $100 gift certificate on Friday, February 28th. Special events all month long include the following: Hat Drive for Our Troops: The Sheep Shack is collecting hand-knitted hats for our military service people. Participants can find a free pattern available at the store, with a discount of 10% on all Ella Rae Classic and Heathers yarns when purchased for this charity hat project (one skein will make 2 hats). Feb 1-7: Learn to knit for free! Newcomers to knitting may drop in anytime during store hours and learn the knit stitch. Needles and yarn will be at the ready and store associates will help with practicing the stitch. Visitors can sign up for a class or get more information about other instruction opportunities. Superbowl Sunday Sock Sale! Sunday, February 7th, from 11-4PM, most sock yarn will be on sale for 30% off. On Linie Sock Yarn will be 50% off. The time is right to try socks, or to stock up and save; plus, 20% off selected sock books. Feb 8-14: With every $30 purchase, shoppers may choose a set of pony double pointed needles for free -- while supplies last! Feb 15-21: Elsebeth Lavold Promotion. With a $40 purchase of any Elsebeth Lavold yarn, shoppers may choose an Elsebeth Lavold pattern book for free ($16.95 retail value) while supplies last. Feb 22-28: Each day this week, The Sheep Shack will conduct a drawing to give away gift certificates. Feb 22-27, $25 each day (drawing done after shop closes), and Feb 28, $100 gift certificate. |
