| Description: | WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 20, 2009 Walden Behavioral Care, LLC, one of the countrys leading hospitals for treating eating disorders, announced today that it will sponsor, Interrupting the Cycle: Effective Nutrition and Behavioral Strategies for Treating Binge Eating Disorder, from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Childrens Hospital at Waltham, Nine Hope Ave. The conference will begin with an overview of binge eating disorder by Christina Wood Baker, Ph.D. from Massachusetts General Hospitals Eating Disorders & Clinical Research Program. Roberta Pearle Lamb, MPH, RD, LDN, Director of Mastering Balance & Nutrition Services at Walden, will follow, presenting, Nutrition for Binge-Eating Disorder. Christina Wood Baker, Ph.D. will present, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder, then Lamb and Baker will conclude with a workshop on, Implementing Effective Strategies For Change. The conference is free or $25 for those seeking continuing education credits (3.5 hours for psychologists and dietitians; 4.5 hours for others).
