| Description: | Cirrus Wine Cellar will host an opening reception for two award winning Grafton artists, Stephen Halpert and Allison Picone. The public is invited to view the art, meet the artists in attendance, and taste an assortment of fall wines. Mr. Halpert's original collages may resemble actual paintings or they may draw the eye into unique angles and dimensions. Drawing from images and styles of art and artists throughout history, his art has won numerous awards at BVAA Fall and Spring Shows. His 'By The Sea' won first place in Mixed Media at the Grafton Fine Arts Festival. Stephen is available for classes as well as commissions. Allison Picone's paintings are intuitive landscapes of the Grafton area. Her paintings capture the beauty of nature with a glow and richness of color. Various mediums such as acrylics, india ink, charcoal, black gesso are drawn, scratched, worked and pushed to reveal a unique composition. Often the underlying base color illuminates the final piece, giving a soulful sensitivity and an impression of color and light. |
