| Description: | A festive celebration of local flavors, Taste the Delicious Bounty will showcase the abundant and diverse harvest of East Quabbin farms and the culinary talents of catering businesses in Hardwick and New Braintree. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a social hour, music by pianist Greg Martiros and bass player Russell Killough-Miller, and a silent auction of choice items and services from local businesses and individuals. Bidding on silent auction items will run until 8:30. The gourmet buffet dinner will be served at 7:00. Following the meal, vocalists Donald Boothman of Hardwick and Angela Hwang of Holden will sing a selection of favorite show and jazz tunes. The gourmet menu, made almost entirely from locally-grown or raised food, will begin hors doeuvres prepared by Everyday Homemade of New Braintree. A buffet of locally grown foods, prepared by Reeds Catering of New Braintree will follow. Artisan breads baked by Rose 32 Bread of Hardwick will accompany the meal. Dessert will be a buffet featuring a variety home-baked cakes, tarts, and pies. There will be a wine and beer cash bar. |
