<title>U.S. Citizenship Preparation Class (Thu, May 30)</title>

&#60;br&#62;
The Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative will be offering a U.S. Citizenship Preparation class at the Olneyville Library from September 2012 to June 2013 on Thursday afternoons from 1:30 to 4:00PM.  &#xD;&#xA;&#xD;&#xA;The class will prepare students for all aspects of the U.S. Citizenship Interview: small talk, basic reading and writing, mastery of 100 U.S. Civics questions as well as understanding and completing the 10 page N-400 application. &#xD;&#xA;&#xD;&#xA;Prospective students should come to one of two Registration and Pre-Testing sessions on Wednesday, August 22nd and Thursday, August 30th from 1:30 to 3:00PM. Eligibility for the class is based on students' pre-test score and English speaking ability which should be at a High Beginner level or above. Students should ideally be able to have a basic conversation in English (i.e. Can the student demonstrate an ability to understand and respond to &quot;What's your name?&quot;, &quot;Where do you live?&quot; &quot;How many children do you have?&quot;, &quot;What country are you from?&quot;, etc.).  Class starts on Thursday, September 20th and is free but there is a one-time, $20 registration fee.  &lt;strong&gt;Interested students can sign up to receive a call for a scheduled Registration/Pre-Test appointment at the Olneyville Library or they can call 455-8041.&lt;/strong&gt; &#xD;&#xA;
 Cost: One-time $20 registration fee
