The Washington Post calls this quartet from the Czech Republic "one of the most polished and musically exciting young string quartets in the world today." Taking their name from the Czech composer Pavel Haas who died in Auschwitz in 1944, and whose legacy includes one of the pieces to be performed at this concert - "Quartet No.2", the ensemble will also perform Schubert's Quartet in c-minor "Quartettsatz", and Beethoven's "Quartet in F-Major". The perfect setting will be the jewelbox of Tuckerman Hall. Free pre-concert Talk begins at 7PM.
