The craft of stained glass has many contemporary possibilities. In this class, beginning students will learn the about the process of creating stained glass while more experienced students will be supported in their ongoing development within the medium. Topics to be covered include design and color, technical issues such as cutting and shaping, and using foil and lead cane. Students will progress at their own pace and develop projects appropriate to their skill level - from dream catchers to lampshades. Safety issues will be addressed in depth. All levels welcome. Materials: Basic materials are supplied; additional costs will vary depending on the range and scope of student projects. Prerequisite: None.

Avoid wearing man made fibers and bring a bottle of water with you to class. All glass classes take place at the Worcester Center for Crafts' New Street Glass Studio, 35B New Street, Worcester, MA 01605
