Have you experienced flameworking with borosilicate glass and now love it? Expand your practice with this class which will include demonstration, personal instruction and your choice of projects for hands-on torch time. Take the next steps with tubing {pulling points, blowing bubbles, hollow beads, abstract shapes and negative space} , solid rods {small sculpture, pendants, encasing} and a combination of the two {hinges, rattles, cups}. Fuming, applying color, cold work and annealing will covered. No experience necessary. Beginner students are welcome in all sections. Some materials included, some available for purchase. Please wear natural fibers and bring a water bottle to class. All glass classes take place at the Worcester Center for Crafts' New Street Glass Studio, 35B New Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
