Taste of Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle (College Community Only)

The Colleges of Worcester Consortium and the Shrewsbury Street Merchants' Association are partnering up again for the second annual Taste of Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle on Saturday, September 6, 2008. This event is based upon the widely successful Taste of Shrewsbury Street which is held in June every year. The College Stroll event will be exclusively for college students and the college community (including faculty, staff, and families).
This event is one of the new traditions for all Worcester-area college students. Last year's Shuffle was a great success with 1500 participants enjoying great food from over 20 restaurants!
DETAILS:
The schedule for the day includes the traditional Shrewsbury Street "shuffle" from 12-3pm and bands in Cristoforo Columbo (East) Park from 3-5pm. During the shuffle, there will be college groups (such as Assumption's a capella group, AMC's Jazz Ensemble, and Holy Cross' Ball Room Dance Team) entertaining you along the street.
Transportation may be available from some schools. Check with your Student Activities Office for more information and button sales

Parking:
The preferred parking garage of the DCU Center is the Worcester Municipal Parking Garage located at 30 Worcester Center Boulevard on the corner of Worcester Center Boulevard and East Central Street off of exit 16 from Rt. 290.
The SMG/Worcester Municipal Parking Garage is less than a 2-minute walk from the facility. For more information, please contact 508-792-0314. Parking prices range from $1.00 to $20.00 depending upon the event and time spent in garage.
Additional parking can be found at area lots and garages near the facility. Daily parking rates are in effect.
Public Transportation: The DCU Center is only a few blocks from the WRTA central hub.
