SASE Info Session
School Events - Information Session - WPI Only
Tuesday, April 23, 2013
5:00 PM-6:00 PM
Are you interested in being a leader for a new student organization? SASE is the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers with the goal to promote advancement of Asian scientists and engineers in the workplace.
With 48 chapters nationwide, and more chapters forming each year, SASE is a wonderful organization for meeting and interacting with students in technical/science fields from WPI and other chapters in the Northeast such as MIT, Northeastern, and Cornell at the regional conference in the spring.
Companies such as GE, Shell, Toyota, P&G, ITW and Booz Allen Hamilton work with SASE chapters in recruiting new employees and host a variety of events to help members develop their professional skills (resume writing, interviewing, salary negotiation, webinar, etc.). In fact, the annual SASE National Conference has the largest career fair for Asian Pacific Islanders in October 10-12, 2013.
Lastly, SASE is a professional group that allows members to immerse themselves in Asian culture while promoting open membership to students of all races/backgrounds.
There will be an interest meeting to explain more about SASE from SASE National and WPI staff in April. This is a great opportunity for those who want to serve in leadership/executive positions for an up and coming professional and cultural club at WPI. If you are interested, please contact Bonnie Hall (email@example.com) or Maggie Becker (firstname.lastname@example.org).
