Abstract: When people in the developed world think about International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs), they tend to think of organizations that are working to carry out the mission set forth by institutions like the United Nations Development Program and its set of Millennium Development Goals. That is, INGOs are organizations that help bring economic development, humanitarian assistance, and democracy to those segments of the world that face challenges in these and related areas.
