I am a faculty in the School of Engineering and the Division of Biological Sciences and Medical School (courtesy) at Brown University. My experience in interacting with undergraduate and graduate students builds from ten years at Brown University, three years at Caliper LifeSciences (Mountain View, CA) as a research scientist, a year at San Jose State University as a part-time instructor, two years at Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) as a postdoctoral associate and five years at the Levich Institute, City University of New York as a graduate student. At Brown, I serve in the admission committees for undergraduate, graduate and MD candidates. I also serve as co-director of the Center of Biomedical Engineering which is responsible for both undergraduate and graduate program in biomedical engineering. My research thrust is in biomedical engineering particularly focusing on disease detection and diagnostics through translational research.
