Reducing drag and enlarging lift is a constant goal in aeronautics. A lot of simple, but robust devices have been invented for this purpose and mainly are the only one presently in use in aeronautics. Nevertheless, many researches are, for a long time but still active to find sophisticated devices to accomplish this goal. Recently, a special interest was given to Micro Electro Mechanical (MEMS) devices. However all this apparatus have mechanical parts which are subject to aging and failure, this is the reason why in these last years a new kind of aerodynamic actuators, using electrical discharges instead of mechanical devices, are of great interest for aeronautics.
