Join Worcester Historical Museum Executive Director, William Wallace, as you travel via motor coach to some of the sites of Charles Dickens' two visits to Worcester. Learn where he stayed, the people he met, and what the town of Worcester looked like in 1842, compared to his second visit for an overnight performance at Mechanics Hall in a much-changed industrial city in 1868.
Reservations are required. Tour concludes at approximately 5:45.
Participants are encouraged to sign up for a Dickens-style three-course dinner that follows immediately after the tour at 6:00 PM at The People’s Kitchen of the Citizen, 120 Commercial Street, Worcester. For dinner reservations call 508.459.9090.
