Songwriter Susan Levine draws stories from the roadside of a life full of contrasts. Susan traveled throughout the United States, living, writing and playing music in New Mexico and California, before returning to Boston in 1998. Her songs are a unique and memorable blend of folk, pop and country. A finalist in several folk festival competitions, Susan's songs can be heard on Women in Music a nationally syndicated radio show heard in more than 80 markets around the country. Her distinctive voice has been described as a warm voice that can send chills down your spine.
Musical events at the Coffeelands Café run from 7:00-8:30 p.m. No cover charge, but pass the hat donations are accepted and appreciated for the musicians. The Coffeelands World Gifts Espresso Café is a social enterprise project of the Polus Center for Social and Economic Development, which provides opportunities for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. In addition to serving specialty drinks, soups and sandwiches, the Café provides employment opportunities and sells unique fair trade products from coffee regions around the world.
