 For February 11, we will discuss The Postmistress, by Sarah Blake. Set in coastal Massachusetts during World War II, this is a story about how war touches the lives of ordinary people.

• Annette Rafferty, founder of Abby’s House, will give a talk on her newest book, Wearing Smooth the Path: 10 More Years at Abby's House, on Sunday, January 13, 2013, 3 p.m., at the Worcester Public Library. The Women’s Issues Book Group meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 541 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Meetings are free and open to anyone interested in reading and discussing the current book. This group is supported by the Worcester Chapter of the National Organization for Women.
