For February 11, we will discuss The Postmistress, by Sarah Blake. Set in coastal Massachusetts during World War II, this is a story about how war touches the lives of ordinary people.

• Annette Rafferty, founder of Abby’s House, will give a talk on her newest book, Wearing Smooth the Path: 10 More Years at Abby's House, on Sunday, January 13, 2013, 3 p.m., at the Worcester Public Library.
