The Malone Brothers bring together the similar but fantastically different worlds of two of the finest New Orleans rock bands today; The Radiators and The Subdudes. This pair of Cajun brothers just cant go at it alone anymore. Tommy is the primary songwriter for the funky swamp rock group The Subdudes, and Dave is his fiery guitarist brother of the fish-head band Radiators. Their music embodies the soulful diversity of New Orleans. From deeply felt R&B ballads to raucous roots-rock, Tommy and Dave Malone have long defined different ends of Louisiana's roots-rock spectrum. Prone to heavy NOrleans jam sessions, the brothers new outfit features brand new material that they wrote together. And judging by their country rock, Zydeco, roots rock mixture, this will be a party you dont want to miss.
Dave Malone is best known as the guitarist/vocalist of The Radiators from New Orleans, who've been bringing their New Orleans-inspired music to the rest of the world for 28 years and have released more than a dozen albums. They are extremely proud of their latest: "Dreaming Out Loud." They maintain a strong, loyal fan base and are on the road relentlessly.
Tommy Malone, on stage, front and center, exudes a laid-back, down-to-earth style that epitomizes the subdudes. But his self-assured exterior masks a songwriter who mines heartache and elation, the surreal and the everyday, and who crafts the experiences into instantly memorable tunes. As the subdudes lead guitarist, he punctuates soulful, heart-felt vocals with playing that is at turns joyful, incendiary, melancholic.
Dave and Tommy Malone finally have time to jam like they did as kids. And with fellow Louisianans Ray Ganucheau on bass and Erik Golson on drums, the Malone Brothers make their Bull Run debut just in time for Holidays. What a perfect holiday gift.
