The Professional Bull Riders announced that fans in Massachusetts will again be able to watch the best bull riders and top bucking bulls when the PBR Touring Pro Division returns to the DCU Center on Feb. 9-10.
Fans will witness thrilling 8-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the adrenaline-soaked performance as the PBR's insanely brave cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 2,000 pounds.
The PBR's Touring Pro Division is about one thing: hunger. This is the stepping stone to the glitz and glamour of the elite Built Ford Tough Series, but there's nothing minor-league about it. These are young men dreaming of the big time. To make it, they have to get past the same monsters you see every week on national television, and superstar veterans looking to stand in their way. More than 100 TPD events are sanctioned annually by the PBR, awarding almost $3 million in prize money.
The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
The PBR will celebrate 20 years of competition with the 2013 season. More than 100 million viewers watch primetime PBR programming annually on networks around the world and nearly two million fans attend PBR events each year. PBR has awarded over $120 million dollars in prize money over 20 years of competition, including a $1 million dollar bonus to the PBR World Champion each year.
