Keynote Speaker: Priscilla Geigis State Parks - A Natural Fit!
Priscilla Geigis serves as the Assistant Commissioner and Director of the Division of State Parks and Recreation at the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and is the President of the National Association of State Park Directors (www.naspd.org)
Join your Friends at the Massachusetts Forest and Park Friends Network (MFPFN) Conference on November 17. You will have the opportunity to meet with top directors of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and network with other volunteers devoted to promoting excellent forests, parks, beaches and trails throughout the Commonwealth. We will cover important topics such as the DCR operations and the recent unification (who do you call?), volunteer policy development, expanding opportunities for volunteers, and whatever is on your mind.
You will also have the opportunity to meet the first DCR Parks Senior Ambassador Sheila Connor and the DCR Youth Ambassador Shawn Davis.
DCR Guest Speakers:
Deputy Director of State Parks and Recreation Samantha Overton; Director of Partnerships Conrad Crawford; Assistant Director for Recreation Gary Briere; Assistant Director for Visitor Services Julie Martin.
Cost: Registration is $4.00. Lunch is available for $8 if payment is received by November 15 or bring a sack lunch
