Auburn artist Piyali Samant will be displaying her artwork in a variety of mediums throughout the month of November.
"I am a self-taught artist who works in oil, acrylic, pencil and watercolor. I have been painting for over 15 years and work out of my home studio in Auburn, MA.
I do commissioned portraits of people and pets and custom paintings upon request. My paintings depict the universality of life and emotions. They portray the grey shadows of life coupled with vibrant blooms of emotion. They are sign posts of my journey through places and cultures around the world. On April 14, 2012 I started doing smaller paintings 2-3 times a week."
Please join us for a reception on Thursday, November 1st at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.
Cost: Free
