Professor John Aylwards recent fellowship at Harvard Universitys Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study offered the artist a new perspective on creativity and the critical role of art in academia, which he will share in his talk. His work has been praised for its rhythmic vitality and rigorous formal qualities and has been performed within the U.S and abroad by numerous leading ensembles and soloists.

John Aylward is Assistant Professor of Music Composition and Theory at Clark University.
He has been awarded a numerous grants and fellowships including a Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and a Fulbright Grant to Germany.
