This is the second installment of the exhibition Create, presenting the work of twenty artists with developmental disabilities who have been active at one of three pioneering studios: Oaklands Creative Growth Art Center, Creativity Explored in San Francisco, and NIAD Art Center in Richmond. Including painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, and text-based art, Create reveals nearly three decades of remarkable work from these small but inuential artistic communities. The exhibition is curated by Lawrence Rinder, director of UC Berkeley ARt Museum and Matthew Higgs, director of White Columns NYC, organized by BAM and Independent Curators International.
Cost: No cost, open to the public
