Garden Discovery Program: Animals in Winter

Garden Discovery Program for Ages 3-5 with Adult
Animals in Winter
This program is designed for children ages 3-5 and their parent, grandparent or caregiver. Class begins inside with an activity and storytime. Then participants step outside (or into the Orangerie in extreme cold) for a short walk to discover what is new in the garden. Please dress for the weather so you and a child can be the first to see the Witch Hazel bloom or the snowdrops poke through the ground!

Feburary Vacation Week - Let Worms Eat Your Garbage!

Back by popular demand! Don't throw away your kitchen scraps, mushy fruit and stale bread! Take advantage of nature's recyclers to turn your waste into food for your houseplants or garden. Observe worms in action and take home your very own mini "worm farm."

Feburary Vacation Week - Make a Mini Terrarium

Plant a beautiful easy to care for mini-garden in an open-topped round glass container or a glass jar. Bring it home to brighten up any room in your house! Suitable for ages 6 and up.
