Community Conversation: Diversity and Inclusion Embodied

Other - Lecture/Discussion

Tuesday, March 12, 2013
7:00 PM-9:00 PM

Dana Commons

Creating meaningful diversity and inclusion requires that we live in our own skins that we are comfortable in our bodies and that the people and spaces around us help make that possible. Starting with a consideration of the challenges faced by transgender, transsexual, and intersexed individuals, both on our campus and in the world at large, we will consider the relationship between bodies and diversity and inclusion with Jen Plante, Director of the Writing Center and Writing Program, and John Sarrouf, Director of The Family Dinner Project of The Public Conversations Project.
