Everyone wants their teacher, their childs teacher, their nations teachers, to be effective. Many people look back fondly on special teachers who changed their lives. But how do we tell which teachers are more or less effective? Even more important, how can we foster more effective teachers and teaching? Dr. Thomas Kane of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, one of the nations leading educational researchers, will explore these topics in this years Dr. Lee Gurel 48' Lecture.
