John Demos, Samuel Knight Professor Emeritus of History at Yale, will be discussing the history of witchcraft and witch-hunting in colonial and early American history. Reception will be at 4:00pm and program to follow at 4:30pm. He has been awarded the prestigious Bancroft Prize for his book Entertaining Satan, and the Francis Parkman Prize for his book, The Unredeemed Captive: A Family Story from Early America.
