Merely Players presents: "And the Rose Will Have Its Own"

Testa Science Center
- General Admission is $8. Student Admission is $5
Merely Players, Assumption College's student theater club, will perform "And The Rose Will Have Its Own," written by James Thibeault.
The play follows Edward, an adult in his early twenties who begins to have hallucinations of his recently deceased father, Leo. At Leo's wake, Edward's uncle Carrie, who hasn't been seen in over a decade, decides to make amends for ignoring the family and decides it would be best if he took over the as fatherly figure of the household. Bothered by the hallucinations, Edward feels as though he should be the one to step up, but wants to revert back to the way things were.

HumanArts Lecture: Jeff Taylor

Jeff Taylor of Taylor Art Advisors will present a lecture entitled "Frauds, Fakes, and Other Art Misadventures" as part of Assumption College's 2009-2010 HumanArts series.
Mr. Taylor is an expert in the history of the Art Market and specializes in analyzing the dynamic of art values over time. He holds Hungarian state appraisers licenses in Antique Furniture and Oriental Carpets, and works as an art agent with Taylor Art Advisors.

- Tickets are $5 for students (with I.D). and $10 for non-students.
The play, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, will be presented Nov. 13-17, at Assumption College in La Maison Francaise Auditorium by Assumption's Theatre students. There will be 7 p.m. performances on Nov. 13, 14 and 17 at 7 p.m. as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 15, and a second Nov. 17 performance at 4:30 p.m.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, based on the novel of the same name by Ken Kesey, follows the free-spirited anti-hero Randal Patrick McMurphy as he clashes with the cool, vindictive and monstrous Nurse Ratched within the confines of a psychiatric hospital.
